Most of us drive our classic cars less than 5,000 miles per year. Some of us drive them less than 2,000 miles per year. Because of this infrequent use, 30,000 mile service intervals are insufficient.

Condensation contaminates the oil in the engine, gearbox and differential. Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air degrading performance and causing damage to the brakes from the inside. Coolant loses it's anti-corrosive properties with the passage of time. Rubber belts, suspension bushings, and drive train mounts deteriorate with exposure to the air (or worse - oil leaking from drive train parts). These are the reasons why annual inspections are so important for infrequently driven cars.
Annual servicing in the off season keeps your classic ready to use anytime you have the time to enjoy it. Don't let uncertainty keep you from enjoying your special car to the fullest.
